Level 1 EV Charger (120V)
Level 1 EV chargers use standard 120v electrical outlets. This level of charging usually comes with your vehicle. It is fairly slow when compared to level 2 charging. Full EV Charge time is 50-60 hours.
Level 2 EV Charger (208-240 volts, 48 amps max)
Level 2 EV chargers use 240v electrical circuits. The majority of household electric car chargers are level 2. Level 2 EV chargers allow you to charge your electric vehicle in just a few hours. A level 2 EV charger safely and quickly delivers AC power to your electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid so you’re always ready to go. Level 2 EV chargers allow you to charge at a rate 3 to 5 times faster than a traditional level 1 charger. Simply put, you will get more EV mileage in less time. Having a level 2 EV charger means having reliable and energy efficient charging. Full EV charge time is 8-10 hours.
DC Level 3 EV Chargers
Level 3 EV chargers use 480v electrical circuits. This level of charge is usually only available for public electric car charging stations. Level 3 charging for EV is currently the fastest charging method available. This option is typically for public chargers.

After you contact us by email, phone or message, our expert contacts you back to explain the EV charger installation process and answer your questions. Then if needed, we schedule a site visit to evaluate residential electrical panel and wiring for capacity to charge the electric car at the desired EV charging level. After that, our expert provides a price quote to complete home EV charger installation work for all applicable rate/panel options.

EV Charger Permitting, Home Preparation and Installation
After we schedule a home EV charger installation, our expert prepares all required documentation and drawing to obtain city permit(s). Our state certified and trained electrician completes EV charger installation of necessary home wiring, upgraded or new panel / meter socket box, or installs the Load Management Controller (LMC), dedicated circuit, and home EV charger of your choice.
3.
City Inspection
After your home EV charger is installed, our expert will schedule city inspector visit for you. According to the state law, every home EV charger installation should be approved by city inspection, which provides for personnel and structure safety by inspecting electrical, life safety, and communication systems to ensure compliance with the adopted codes and regulations.
